Psychosocial
intervention
What is psychosocial intervention?
Psychosocial intervention is a comprehensive approach where different types of interventions can be used, including accompaniment, support and/or psychological education, crisis intervention or coaching.
This is a short or medium term approach, based on listening, support, open-mindedness and which is done in complete trust and confidentiality .
Taking into account your current situation and your personal experience, psychosocial intervention aims to develop your full potential. The meetings promote self-awareness, the development of confidence and self-esteem as well as self-assertion. Improving your personal well-being and your interpersonal relationships involves developing your protective factors and reducing the risk factors around you.
What is it not?
Psychosocial intervention is not psychotherapy follow-up and does not provide a diagnosis.
Psychotherapy is defined as follows:
“Psychological treatment for a mental disorder, behavioral disturbance, or other problem causing psychological suffering or distress that is intended to promote significant changes in the client's cognitive, emotional, or behavioral functioning, interpersonal system, personality, or health. This treatment goes beyond helping to cope with current difficulties or providing advice or support.”

How does it work?
It all starts with a call , an email or a request through the contact form located at the bottom of this page . This initial contact aims to determine if we are compatible to work together.
In order to determine the approaches and intervention methods that best suit your needs , expectations , specific characteristics , skills and situation , we will conduct an initial assessment meeting , lasting 60 minutes . Subsequently, the mandate , consultation objectives , frequency of meetings and follow-up arrangements will be established with you. The meetings take place by videoconference .
Psychosocial monitoring will end when the consultation objectives are achieved, when the psychosocial worker judges that she is no longer able to help you or when you decide to do so.
How much does it cost?
Professional fees vary depending on the type of meeting required and their duration .
It is agreed that you will pay these fees by Interac transfer , at each meeting. Following receipt of payment, a receipt will be sent to you by email .
Most insurance companies reimburse my professional fees. Contact me for more details!
*Family and polycule meeting rates include 3 people per meeting. A fee of $30.00 applies for each additional person.
